There are no FDA products fully approved for treatment and/or prevention of New World Screwworm (NWS) larval infestations.  This presentation will review the regulations regarding drug use (with an emphasis on use in food animal species), discuss differences between fully-approved drug products, conditionally-approved drug products and emergency use authorizations and briefly touch on products that can legally be used for treatment of NWS in veterinary species.
