The CARES Act and CCC Charter Act have collectively committed to providing $16 billion in direct assistance to producers of non-speciality crops, livestock, dairy and specialty crops that have experience a 5% price loss or greater between mid-January and mid-April and/or face significant additional marketing costs. Robin Reid and leaders from the Kansas State FSA office will break down how these payment rates were determined and what producers can expect for assistance. Farm Service Agency will begin taking applications for the program starting May 26.
